Georgia (country) advice

Good morning all,

I am finalising my trip to Georgia in September.
We are starting in Tbilisi staying in the new Luxury Collection hotel.

After 4 days of intense sightseeing, we are moving to Batumi for a bit of beach holiday. Has anyone been to Batumi and can recommend best hotel to stay at?
I am looking at Sheraton, Meridian or Autograph Collection resort (outside of Batumi).

Interesting choice. Would love to go. But isn’t there an FCDO travel advisory for Georgia at the moment? I guess I’m just less adventurous than I was many decades ago.

Thanks @swissJim, FCDO advice against travel doesn’t cover Tbilisi and Batumi. Being off the beaten track is what appeals to us. We are going with friends and planning wine tours/monastery visits around Tbilisi and then relaxing time on the Black Sea coast. If the FCDO advice changes, then our insurance kicks in and we have a plan b to stay in Turkey instead.
