Forums Hotel loyalty schemes IHG One Rewards Free breakfast for Diamond at IC in paid and/or reward stays?

  • 269 posts

I have 2 stays coming up in the US during August – 1 stay is 4 reward nights at an IC in San Francisco and the other is 4 paid nights in the Venetian, Las Vegas.

As a Diamond, should I expect breakfast at either or both of these properties? Been reading the new One programme but I’ve either missed it or it’s not clear for IC hotels. I know the Venetian is sometimes a little out of kilter with IHG benefits but last time we stayed there, my Spire status was recognised at checkin and we got an upgraded suite.

We are staying as a family of 4 – 2A/2C. Hoping for at least free breakfast for both adults. Thanks for any info.

Yes you should – as long as you select it as your welcome benefit.

It applies to you and one guest staying in the same room.

Strictly speaking it won’t extend to children. That would be down to the hotel and their policies and goodwill.

see the ‘welcome amenity’ part in the new scheme section

I think you’d have to ask either IHG or the Venetian about the breakfast. It’s not clear whether the Intercontinental in this list includes Intercontinental Alliance. I don’t think Royal Ambassadors get breakfast at the Venetian…

Diamond Elite Members’ Welcome Amenity choice also includes Free Breakfast at full-service brands (Six Senses, REGENT, InterContinental, Hualuxe, Hotel Indigo, voco, Crowne Plaza, Even, Holiday Inn, and select Kimpton properties)

    San Francisco should be fine.

    Isn’t the Venetian leaving IHG?

Believe Venetian (is currently) intercontinental alliance and thus won’t recognise all the benefits.

Yes, nothing happening at the Venetian. It’s not an IC in any sense of the word, they just sell the rooms via ihg.com to keep the US market happy.
