Looks like I’ve had a rather good Phishing email.
Dear (used correct name),
We look forward to welcoming you to your one-of-a-kind stay at Hotel Ercilla de Bilbao, Autograph Collection beginning February 03, 2025 through February 05, 2025.
Well, I’ve not got a booking, and there’s nothing on my Marriott App. I stayed in that hotel 3 years ago.
Why do you think it’s phishing, are they asking for money? I’ve had a couple of emails previously where they’ve just been sent to the wrong account holder – concerning that they are cavalier with people’s personal information, but not a deliberate attempt at fraud.
@Northern-Lass other people have reported similar emails that are asking for Money (see yesterdays chat and other posts for example) and those have been spam.
So it’s always wise to be cautious.
I’m not disputing that, but I can’t see any mention in the OP of a request for money, which would be useful information to have!
Well, this is getting interesting. I opened the links in a “Sandbox” this evening.
So, it’s looking more like a genuine email.
A booking for two rooms, totalling EUR536, using my Amex Card to book them. Except, I didn’t book any rooms.
