Expiring Etihad Guest Miles: You may extend the validity of your existing miles by 18 months by flying with Etihad Airways or any of our eligible airline partners.
So fly once in 18 months and extend forever ?

HfP has an article on this (quite some time ago) – Your miles expire 18 months after your last flight. So yes, you need to fly every 18 months with them or their partners.
Very frustrating as it’s taken me ages to collect my 260k miles and I was planning to use them in late 2025
Any idea what I can do with 1k miles?
I had transferred a small amount from Amex to test how long it takes to come through, before transferring the rest, but by the time they came through (next day), all the Member Select rates were sold out, so booked for cash instead.
