Everyday cashback -> Preferred Gold welcome bonus

I’m currently a holder of the platinum cashback credit card and want to know whether it’s possible to move to another amex card for 2 years to gain access to the welcome offer for the preferred gold?

If not, i think I’ll be looking at moving to the barclays avios plus card until the time comes

I don’t believe so, you have to have not held ANY Amex card for two years to be eligible for a Gold card bonus.
