Emirates: Is 65 minutes enough to connect at DXB?

Question: will Emirates put me on a later flight if I miss my connection due to their late arriving flight?

In the process of booking a multi-trip itinerary directly with Emirates in economy. Essentially LHR-DAC, then DAC-CMB and finally CMB-LHR all on one PNR.

The CMB-LHR times that work best is complicated. It breaks down to CMB- MLE (90 minute stopover) – DXB (65 minute connection) – LHR. I can see that the Male stopover and the short connection time would put me at high risk of missing the connection to LHR.

There is another emirates flight DXB-LHR that is 5 hours later that I don’t really want to book but if I miss my connection would Emirates put me on that flight? Would like to avoid LGW and STN so not an option currently.

So long as it’s all on one booking (note there’s a slight technicality here if you book via someone like Expedia but direct with the airline no issue) so long as you’re at CMB before the check in deadline, you become Emirates’ problem to get back to London. An operation of that size will see plenty of people misconnect each day and they will be well geared up to cope.

Obviously the condition you have is the next flight must have free seats, but I would deem this as one of those things it’s not worth even worrying yourself about.

I’d book it – I did C concourse to A concourse recently which I think is the worst Emirates connection scenario involving a bus and it still only took around 25mins to reach the gate. If you dock at B or A then it’s just walking. If you do miss it Emirates are very well set up to handle your rebooking
