Anyone any advice for Dublin vehicle rental please/rented one recently? We are hoping to do a tour around Eire in the early autumn with 6 of us (2 flying in from mainland Europe). Looked at taking our own vehicles across by ferry from the UK but that is expensive so thinking of flying from UK & renting a vehicle between us, however the type of vehicle we’d need for 6 adults + luggage (mini van type really) is showing as €2000+ from Dublin for 9 days. Belfast would be the other option for pick up but really we’d like to end with drop off in Dublin & a couple of vehicle free nights there.

I had a look at September for Dublin, Cork and Shannon, and you are not wrong! I think your best bet is to contact one of the smaller local places directly and see if they will do you a deal directly

Think we will now try that, then if nothing better from a local place will have to decide on either large from Belfast or 2 small cars from Dublin.

Yeah, I think two cars from Dublin might be the winner – and an independent place will definitely do you a deal on that!
