BA has changed my flights to Dubai so we arrive 8 hours earlier – just before midnight the day before instead of 8 am in the morning.
That means rather than arriving at our hotel for an early check-in around 9am we need a hotel for the night before.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a hotel near the DBX airport we can book one night at before going to our main hotel the following day? I don’t want to book an extra night at our hotel as it’s not worth the money if we arrive at midnight.
I believe there is a hotel actually in the airport before immigration but we’re going to want to pick up our bags and clear immigration the evening we arrive.
We are a family of 4 (kids 12 and 10). Just looking for somewhere clean, convenient and comfortable for a few hours sleep and breakfast before moving on. No need for anything fancy but nothing too shabby.
Thanks in advacne.
Any particular brand or doesn’t matter? Personally I think the JWM is close enough to the airport and then close enough to every other hotel the next day. But rates can vary massively.
Otherwise anything around the business Bay Area is good there’s a brand new doubletree with low rates.
Le meridian fairway and Sheraton grand have just been completely refurbished.

Thanks both – appreciated. I don’t have much in the way of hotel status Accor gold being the top one. There seems to be a Mercure not far away.
Holiday Inn prices look good value.
I usually do a Hotwire – though not sure that’d work for a family. Last 2 times I got Avani Deira for a very reasonable rate, 10 mins from the airport and easy to get a Careem / Uber to my hotel the next day. It’s also an easy walk to a 24hr Hypermarket to stock up on snacks, tonics, diet cokes etc to go with my duty free for evening G&Ts at my “proper” hotel, so I’d consider booking it directly next time for the same reasons.

Thanks will take a look
Less of a recommendation, more of a not recommended – the new combo Element/Aloft at the airport. I stayed there for about £75 in February when arriving after midnight. Zero staff presence outside the Element, zero staff presence inside, had to walk through deserted ground floor corridors to find the Aloft reception who checked me in. Again zero staff effort to assist with baggage or show me back through the corridors to the Element. Breakfast in the lobby was Premier Inn quality and the hotel seemed to mostly be busy with construction workers on long term stays. In future I’d pay a bit extra for the Le Meridien by the airport.

Thanks I won’t stay there!
Looks like I can get a 2 bed appartment at the Mercure Hotel and REsidences Dubai Airport for c.£150 including breakfast nothing upfront and free cancellation up to the date of arrival. Seems pretty reasonable. I’m hoping BA might pick up some of the bill for the flight cancellation but not a disaster if they don’t
