I got the email today with my membership number. I thought that there was a fee to pre-book and guarantee lounge access? However, it looks like it costs the same to buy a pass for the lounge as pre-booking it (which appears to guarantee entry, is that right?) Am I confusing things? I used Heathrow as an example.
I also just to confirm what is the main advantage of this scheme? Is it just the fact that you’re saving about £6 on lounge entry?
Actually the saving looks far more substantial. Generally £18.50 vs £36 on the lounge websites.
Yes got ours too. May even try it at Malaga in 2 weeks. Good to see if you prepay you get a booked slot included. I think you can prebookonly if already have a free pass through another route..
Any clarity yet as to whether you can pay the £5 to reserve a slot, then gain entry with Priority Pass or Amex Platinum?
I’ve just booked me and x3 others for £18.50 – premium lounge terminal 5 LHR. Pre-booked and it said pre-book fee = £0.00 so Didn’t pay the fiver each.

I thought that might be the case – looks like HFP got it wrong. They couldn’t be bothered to try it out.
