Downgrade and still keep companion voucher?

I’m pretty certain I’ve read this before but I activated my 241 companion voucher yesterday (10kspent on the BA card)
If I now want to downgrade back to the free AMEX card will I keep the 241 voucher? Do I need to leave it a few days first because I can’t even see where the companion voucher shows up in the BA exec club app yet…..?

Yes, you keep the 2-4-1 but you need access to an amex card to use it. Do not downgrade until after the voucher appears in your BAEC account. Be aware that some have reported downgrade refusals and/or amex marking accounts in a way that subsequently impacts spend requirements on future upgrades.
