    Hi

If I book a flight and bundle a hotel via the BA website, will this be an eligible stay for status and points with Hilton, please?

    Thanks,

No. From my experience last week. The LAX AIRPORT HILTON hotel would not recognise my gold status at all. No points. No benefits. No credits.

The rules say ‘no’, but it does no harm to try, worst that can happen is the rules are applied, but it can be much better…

I’d made a Virgin Holidays booking for the Hilton RAK beach resort, VS were significantly cheaper than a direct booking.

On the off-chance, showed my HH Diamond card at check-in, they apologised(!) for not knowing we were coming and after a flurry of activity upgraded us from the normal king room I’d booked to one of the beach villas, essentially a suite directly on the beach and away from the hubbub of the main building.

Better access to the nicer/quieter places at the end of the beach for breakfast/dinner, ordered a bottle of Veuve Clicquot, they didn’t have any and in apology gave us a bottle of Dom Pérignon, so even the bubbly was upgraded.

Sometime after return I received a rather curt email from HH saying they were taking back the points for the stay as it wasn’t an eligible booking 🙂
