Do all Virgin Plus credit card accounts get 15,000 points after first purchase?

Player 2 (my wife) has just had an application to open a Virgin Atlantic Rewards+ credit card accepted. It will take a few days to receive the card but in the meantime they have sent a couple of emails providing more information but nothing is mentioned about the 15000 points which they advertise as given after the first purchase if within 90 days of opening.
She has opened Virgin Flying Club and Virgin Red accounts in readiness.
This makes me wonder whether I made a newbie mistake in not following the right route for her to apply, but having said that there is nothing in their publicity to say I should do so as far as I can see.
My questions therefore are will she automatically receive 15,000 points after her first purchase and if not what chance is there of getting Virgin to do so?

It doesn’t look like there’s anything there that’s incorrect, they usually appear on your app after the first statement is generated. It’s shows pretty clearly on their website that this is the offer.

Regular issue with the wrong reward being given. Ring them and they will escalate it and replace with the points.
