Looking at DLP for next spring. Considering Easter hols or the May/June H/T. Probably Mon-Thursday or Friday.

It appears that the first week of April is still term time for all French school “zones”, but we have broken up in our county here.
Easter Sunday is 9th April. I assume the French observe Good Friday too, so wondering if travel routes that weekend might be very busy.

So, any opinion on whether first week of April, or May/June would be better in terms of shorter queues and drier weather. Quieter/non-extortionate euro-tunnel is also a secondary consideration.

France doesn’t observe Good Friday, although for a secular country they do have a lot of religious holidays. The traffic/people will be from the UK. There are usually 3-4 French bank holidays in May (always 1st and 8th, plus Ascension Day (and the Friday ‘pont’) plus Whit Monday and next year they are all in May, in case that affects your plans as May/June are more reliable weather months.

Our personal experience was that DLP was really quite disappointing with big queues in non French holidays, Parc Astérix much better but that was some years ago so others will have more recent experience. Did have huge and cost saving merit of neither parents nor children wanting to go to Disneyland in the US.

Thanks. I have four young princesses and they (and I to be fair) will want to do the Orlando one in a few years, once they are ready for the “big rides”.

Thanks for the info on the French BHs in May. I was aware of Ascension Day, which is 18th May next year. We are thinking of 29th, which is Whit Monday but I think we are ok as we’d only be travelling that day.
Having had a brief look at accommodation availability etc. I think we’ll pencil this in for May and plan further in a few months.

Been a couple of times, and each time staying in the centre of Paris but near
a stop on the direct train worked really well. Both times, timed the train trip
to coincide with the park opening in the morning, and went straight to the top 2-3 attractions.
V minor queueing, and nothing compared to Orlando!
