I have registered for the BA Club bonus tier points scheme (adds tiers per cabin/flight), several times and all with either the welcome, or you’re already registered. But my first test of this was a week ago with a domestic CE day return. That should award 2×175 bonus tiers, but 7 days later I’m still to see these added. I know they are added separately from the basic flight award, which does show on my account.
Anybody else experiencing delays in the bonus tiers being added, or other issues with them? Looks like I’ll need to chase with the online tool!
Several people have reported not receiving the TP bonuses. Happy to be corrected, but I’ve not noticed anyone yet reporting that they have. Anybody like to confirm?
The relevance is that if it is indeed a generic issue then I don’t see much mileage in trying to chase it individually. BA will be aware of it and until or unless there is some confirmed movement I can’t see the time and effort spent pursuing an individual complaint being worthwhile – unless the few extra TP involved will get you to a status threshold.
Mine posted within the same line item transaction as the actual flight TPs with no delay for all flights I’ve taken this new membership year. For example, from the BA app:
Palma to London Gatwick
Class: Economy (V)
Departure Date: 6 April 2025
BA2673
Booking Reference: XXXXXX
Total Eligible Spend: GBP 97.24
Exchange Rate from EUR to GBP: 0.82760
Bonus Tier Points: 75875 Avios, 173 Tier points
Interesting, but also worrying! Why do I expect BA to be able to handle this?!
Yeah, I’ve had two return economy flights (neither HBO) so eligible for the bonus of 75 each way. Before I flew, mange my booking said I’d get x new tier points, and in both cases the flight posted totaled x+150. The extra did not appear as an extra line item
Flight 1. MMB said I’d get 221 in total for the return. The flights posted as 176 and 195, so a total of 371, which is what i expected.
Flight 1. MMB said I’d get 198 in total for the return. The flights posted as 172 and 176, so a total of 348, which is also what i expected.
