I’m comfortably ensconced in 53A on the upper deck so not complaining as such!
Scheduled departure time was 1245 hours. There has been an issue with a part which has been taxing (not taxiing) the engineers for a while now, and our scheduled departure time is now 1600 hours according to the captain.

The flight came in from Houston, it was about 90 minutes late into Heathrow. You are showing a 0303 arrival in Dubai which as you know will be just over 3 hours late.
The weather when it left Houston was good, this is just for a record, I can translate it later if needed.

Captain definitely said they need an engineering part.
And just when you think it can’t get any worse, 5 rows in and they have run out of Xmas dinners!
There was a fault they fixed and then just after boarding they found something wrong with a fuel pump!
Taking contemp notes of the captain’s announcements …Oh dear that’s not great news. On the plus side you’d think they’d be able to fix the issue at their home base and I think I would rather they discovered a faulty fuel pump before they took off.
Indeed! It’s slightly worrying as this flight has been late 5 days out of the past 6!

Shouldn’t be done by rows, they should take all the orders and then figure it out by status and go back to those who aren’t in luck (or are in luck – not sure how dry that turkey will be after a 3+ hr delay!!)
Spare a thought for those waiting in Dubai half the night waiting to get back…hopefully you’re in the air shortly
Still here but apparently the fault is fixed and they just need to do the paperwork. Not been offered anything apart from the drink on boarding, requests get the small bag of nuts!
I am Silver, OH is back to blue atm, does that mean I’ll get the turkey dinner and he’ll be on whatever’s left 😂. Crew said they were going to “ask around”!
Return is on QR but I’m keeping an open mind as I’ve seen here how much mucking about they are capable of!

That’s weird, I was sure that flight was from Dallas this morn. In fact flightradar is still saying Dallas and that it landed 0937.
@AmyC You are correct, I got the previous rotation from Google Flights, but it was in fact from Dallas.
