Last week I withdrew cash in Germany with Curve metal backed by Virgin Atlantic. I was charged a cash fee by Virgin. I am in the US next week and do need some cash. Does anyone know if Hilton Barclaycard will do the same?

Virgin started charging for overseas ATM withdrawals recently. Barclays doesn’t for the time being, however US ATMs levy their own fees.
Barclays and Lloyds World Elite don’t charge cash fees for curve ATM use – yet.
If you know you will need cash when you get there, I’d order it and fetch it before you leave. Use the moneysavingexpert site travel money tool to find the cheapest and either get it delivered or collect it from somewhere. Usually collection from M&S is decently priced and works well – tends to be a lot of small bills, sadly.
