I’m fairly new to Curve but have used it a few times now with my VA+ card underlying. No problems so far. Just few hours ago I just went to buy £100 worth of stuff in a local supermarket here in the Caribbean and it was declined. First time that has a happened. I switched to my Halifax clarity and thought nothing more of it until just now when I get a receipt from Curve for my purchase! Has anyone else ever had this?
Yes, many times, but usually sorts itself out over time. Sometimes, you have to contact Curve to reverse.
I find with Curve that they show transactions that would not show on underlying cards until an actual charge. Some of which never progress to actual charge status.
Yes most likely it will never get charged to the underlying card
When I have had an issue I have found them to be incredibly quick at reversing incorrect charges too.
Thanks all. They say they’re sorting it. Bit concerned that it was declined in first place given there’s over 11k of unused limit on my underlying card 😒
I was in Grenada recently and Curve constantly declined and then went through. Loads of transactions showed as going through twice but it did resolve itself n around 12 days. I ended up paying for my apartment in my Halifax Clarity because of this.
A good way i use to check is if the go back in time function shows, of it doesnt and is a recent transaction then is likely in process of being refunded
