    I have changed my address which was updated within curve app 2 weeks ago however my new fronted transactions do not work.
    Non fronted works so not sure what is going on. The app support is completely useless.
    Is there any phone number to reach out?

    The app says “your contactless limit reqched. please use chip and pin for this transaction”.
    i am not sure how do you do fronted transactions using chip and pin?

    Amex is no-go, Virgin tends to slap fees on many fronted transactions so is best avoided in this scenario. The rest you can get on with, discreetly.

    just to confirm – does using Curve with my Virgin to pay my HMRC bill on Fronted trigger the cash advance fees on the card? If so, do you recommend another card to use with Curve for this – Barclays Avios perhaps?

    Given that message and the likely response time from Curve, as a much faster and tastier possible solution, I’d wander out and buy a KitKat from your local corner shop, stick your Curve card into the machine, enter your PIN and see if that unlocks things for other transactions.

    Already done that but still no joy!
    Seems some “tricky” algorithm is stopping some transactions as not getting any 2FA for transactions simply declined.
    I would normally get in app alert to approve or a code via text but that seems to have stopped for some reason!

    Things to try in order of arseache:

    Lock/freeze your card in the app, unfreeze, and retry.

    Force-close/kill the app and retry.

    Remove your card from Curve and re-add, and retry.

    Remove all your cards from Curve, re-add, and retry.

    Went over the £3k limit and didn’t realise so been charged. I have Metal. Can I go and change the underlying card to a debit void the fee or is that not possible or it wouldn’t matter if it was debit or credit?

    Yes, use the go back in time feature and swap to a debit card. The rolling rather than monthly fronted limit, without any tracker in the app, is painful.

    Been having this exact same issue yesterday and today. Have been out and made a chip and pin transaction but no joy. Curve support were quite good at responding within a few hours today to be fair, but no resolution as yet. They say it’s something to do with 3D Secure on the specific transaction I’m trying to make (which is the same one I make every month and it’s never been a problem so far, and it can only be done online so no chip and pin possible). The weird thing is I haven’t made any contactless transactions in the last month, so presumably the message about reaching my contactless limit is a red herring. Very annoying as we’re now eating into my rolling 30 day Fronted schedule…

    Anyone have experience with HMRC / NS&I / 9999 Transactions and Barclaycard? In the last couple months?

    Dunno about NS&I, but I regularly use Bcard for HMRC, no problems – as recently as this week

    In general Bcard is the most widely accepted of the funding sources – it’s also one of the few that I’ve never had any problems doing cash withdrawal (albeit the only thing I use cash for is to pay my cleaner, so not a lot)

    Likewise same issue. Curve metal becomes pointless if this doesn’t work

    No joy with curve fronted still and no response from customer (dis) service!
    Twitter is asking to wait for 5 working days!

    definitely wider issue affecting many card holders but unfortunately you cannot speak to CS anymore via phone!

    Good to know. I’ll see if they get it fixed by tomorrow morning, then I feel a complaint coming on. What with the changes to fronted last year, then the removal of the insurance, and now this, I certainly feel I’m not getting what was promised for my Metal fee.

    With such shenanigans, I will be reluctant to renew.
    They have promised that I can take pro data refund if I like.
    So they seemingly want to retain customers but they just. End to get their act together.

    I have this at the moment and have had it once before in the past. There seem to be some issue with 3DS verification if you try any higher value purchase you will probably find it affects your non-fronted transactions too. The previous advice from curve is do what was suggested, use your card via chip and pin (which doesn’t make much sense) and it is difficult to conclude whether that worked for me previously. Mine did resolve itself before though so I would just wait a few days and try again.

    I must be lucky with curve as I often get same day responses to my queries via chat.

    This is possibly a general 3DS verification issue as I am also affected and got a similar message from Curve. Best bet would be too just wait a few days I reckon.

    Can anyone advise on Curve cash withdrawals?

    I’ve been doing 1k every 30 days the last couple of months and my 30 days is up today.

    I’m going on holiday next week and will probably use the curve to withdraw from my Barclaycard.
    If I do my £1000 tomorrow and max the fee free withdrawals I know I’ll pay a small fee on any withdrawals whilst on holiday.
    My question is though, will my fee free 30 day period start when I reach that limit tomorrow? Or will the rolling 30 day period be impacted by any withdrawals abroad even though I’m paying a fee?

    It’s only be a couple of months since the changes came in I know, so might not have come up for anyone else yet.

    Allowance abroad is separate from allowance in the UK.

    Looking at their fees page, they don’t make a distinction between withdrawals at home or abroad.

    I have made many chip and pin transactions in last few days but my issue still persists.

    I had the same issue. Curve support helped (for a change). For me it was down to the underlying card (Barclays) needing to do a chip and pin transaction on it. Went to the local supermarket, bought a can of coke, paid with chip and pin, and then some nuts with contactless, then my Curve worked again. Give this a go too.
