Looks like quite a few downgrades to the plans from November 10th, including a £3k/m limit for fronted on Metal and a price increase.
Well, that’s very annoying given that they’ve just charged my membership fee!
Surely you get the fees schedule in force at the time of your renewal? And then this new schedule kicks in after your current 12 months.
Hmmm…
Looks like they’re removing the fee-free FX completely for Curve Standard?
Not used it for foreign transactions while Chase offer 1% cashback but this product is starting to look as dead as a dodo!

This is what I was hoping but apparently not the case.
I’ve recently paid £150 for metal. It’s not going to be worthwhile for me from November with the new structure, yet now I’m stuck with it.

Surely if they changed their terms then they should be offering refunds for those affected?

I think this is most likely the end of Curve, now with the limit of £3k for metal fronted @ £17.99 it makes little sense to bother, most certainly will be closing my Metal account after this update!
Curve Metal
Cancellation Fee – £59.99
Replacement Card Fee – £59.99 (first replacement free)
!!!
but this product is starting to look as dead as a dodo!
Lol, it was always just a matter of time. Am surprised they only cut the limits given the cash they have been bleeding so far.
Is anyone able to clarify the legality of these changes for existing Curve Metal subscribers?
Is it really going to cost £59.99 to cancel for existing subscribers?

I believe this is the case if you have held it less than 6 months, otherwise they can have a chargeback if they try that stunt!
Even this cannot stop Curve bleeding money

This literally kills the card for most users. The only use case I now have is to allow me to use Google Play with my Barclaycard, once BC sort themselves out the Curve will be redundant.
Assume the new limits would come into force even if signing up to the 12m Metal package beforehand?

I find it easier just to pull the card out of my wallet, rather than swap from Amex to Curve for this in Google Pay!
So maximise the benefits for Sep, Oct and 1-9 November then!
…if they remain trading that long.
This bit made me laugh, regarding support: “Support within working hours (but still better than your bank!)”
It was fun while it lasted! £30k more to go until then. Will keep until it renews next year.

Surely that’s blatent false advertising?
If they change their terms and conditions, they can’t surely think they can not pro rata refund for free if people want to cancel.
They didnt even communicate this to me
Has their insurance offering reduced? It was all gadgets including laptops and mobile phones, then moved to mobile phones only? Never had to claim but it was useful to have
edit: cant even download it https://www.curve.com/en-gb/terms-insurance-docs/

does this still work with the VA?
Carnage.
I will be cancelling. With new limits on the Fronted I have zero reasons to keep the card.

Not for over one year – not that I have tried it lately.
