In the UK I have stayed at Hilton and Doubletree and sometimes I get given a drinks voucher and sometimes not. It seems to be random. Does Hilton and Doubletree have a policy or promotion or is it down to the individual hotels?
Doubletrees do seem to be the most generous with the drinks, IME, and the cheaper the hotel (though that doesn’t necessarily mean a worse property), the more freebies they shower you with! We are at the DT Strathclyde this weekend so we’ll see what we get there.
NCL airport and Manchester Piccadilly were best in terms of free drinks and value for money, never had anything as the MAN airport one (which is wildly overpriced these day), didn’t get vouchers at Harrogate (which is now on the list of shame for charging to use the pool). Did get them at Chester but I think the choice was poor, just house wine or beer.
