Going for a quick visit this weekend. Any recommendations for restaurants and things to do? Thanks

It depends what you like. Are you staying in both or visiting one from the other?

The obvious historical attractions are the mezquita in Cordoba and the bridge in Ronda – the Arab bathhouse is also a fascinating spot, though a bit tricky to find.

Hi NorthernLass, we are spending a night in each and staying in the centre

We are staying in Seville at the moment and visited Cordoba yesterday and rather wished we hadn’t wasted a day.
A pleasant lunch but that was the highlight.

Can’t help but feel an opportunity was missed to entitle this thread:
    Help, help me: Ronda!

@Michael, always there with a musical reference, lol.

Again, it depends what floats your boat (along the Guadalquivir, obvs), but I really want to visit Medina Azahara, an abandoned Moorish palace complex outside Cordoba. Hoping to do a road trip at some point through this area.

We were last in Ronda about 3 years ago in February and spent most of the afternoon wandering around and taking photos. The almond blossom is gorgeous at this time of year. We ate tapas at a restaurant in the main square (handily situated above an underground car park!)

You should encounter some stunning scenery between the two locations as well.

I think you need to spend longer than half a day in cordoba to enjoy it tbh… we stayed for two nights and thought was great. Visited the mezquita at (I think) 7 am to get in for free and avoid the worst of the crowds, had two great meals, couple
Of drinks one evening in a wine cave/cellar, you have the bridge which is nice to walk across and the tower at the end. It’s not a big place but it’s nice for a relaxing two days wandering around and also enjoying the food
