Conrad Rangali Maldives upgrade rules

I have a long-standing Beach Villa reservation @ Conrad, Maldives starting Monday booked in the days when 5 nights was charged at 380,000 points. I have just seen that the reservation is now for sunset W Villa W Pool. I am delighted, of course, but had always thought that there were no upgrades at that property. Has that policy changed?

Normally Beach Villa and Sunrise Water Villa are offered on points – both 120,000, although Villa is no kids. Unlike WA the Conrad does upgrade sometimes but not all the time. Enjoy your trip and hope you’ve saved a few pounds as I remember the F&B is expensive there !
