Forums Hotel loyalty schemes Hilton Honors Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia (Travelling with a baby)

Planning our first trip with a baby for next Summer, and looking at a 5 night redemption in the Conrad in Sardinia.

Reward nights are available in the entry level King rooms, which Hilton says are suitable for 2 adults. If on Hilton I change the search to 2 adults + 1 child, those rooms are no longer available and it wants to sell me a premium redemption for a Suite at 200K+ points per night.

I’m new to this baby business; am I ok to book the normal room for 2 adults and then e-mail them that we have an infant in tow and will need a travel cot? I’m Hilton Gold and so hoping/expecting a room upgrade anyway.

    Thanks for any tips!

Yes. We’ve done that many times. Just ask them for a cot. King room will be fine for 2 adults and an infant.

There’s a Conrad in Sardinia?! That is so going on my redemption wish list …

You will love it, it was the first place we took our son abroad when he was 8 months – we got stopped so many times by Italian ladies swooning over his blond hair and blue eyes and exclaiming “Che bambino bellisimo!” he thought he was some kind of rock star by the end of the holiday!
