Forums Other Flight changes and cancellations help Compensation never paid

  • 5 posts

We had our flight cancelled back in April (BA LHR to Athens), submitted for compensation and received email saying that the compensation has been approved (400 euro per passenger) but never received anything. Left multiple messages through their messaging service (they say not to call for compensations and complaints). 2 weeks ago I also called and spoke to someone who said they will pass my message to the complaints team, but nothing.

Any similar experiences? Not sure what can be done.

Send a letter before action to BA’s Waterside address giving them a reasonable time (I’d say 14 days to be generous) to pay up or you’ll go to MCOL.

14 days isn’t “generous” it’s basically a MCOL requirement after sending a letter before action.

A lesser period would be looked upon as being unreasonable.
