Forums Other Flight changes and cancellations help Time needed for compensation for cancelled BA flight

  • 43 posts

    Hello

    Can anyone help me ?

About 4 weeks ago BA cancelled my flight from LHW TO CDG , as a result I had to book Eurostar .

3 weeks ago I submitted a claim since then I have heard nothing , I have called BA twice and after a long wait someone finally answered and told me that they have a policy of up to 28 days before the respond and I was in the queue .

Is this right and is there a telephone number or email of someone who can actually make decisions as I feel BA are giving me the run around and I am getting nowhere fast .

Well, you have been told you are in the queue and it takes them +28 days so they are aware of your claim and will come back to you at some point.

Delaying things (and flights) is what BA are really good at!

Thought I would tag onto this instead of starting a new thread. In-laws had MAN-LHR leg of a long haul flight cancelled in June at the last minute. They got a taxi to LHR and later submitted multiple claims for all sorts of issues they had with the trip. To their surprise, BA have refunded the taxi fare AND paid long-haul delay compensation for the cancelled MAN-LHR flight, promptly and with no quibbles!
