Hi
I want to book to NYC from LHR 1oth December 2022 for five nights for two. I have no idea how to start get the best offer.i have a companion voucher and 40000 virgin miles. Any help pointers would be great
Thanks in advance
There looks to be availability in UC on SeatSpy, though the 10th is the first day of peak pricing for December which limits your options. If you went on the 9th, from my understanding for the outbound you could book 2 x PE seats with points (total 35k) and use the voucher to upgrade you both to UC (if still available, SeatSpy is showing 3 seats). That leaves you with the inbound to sort out though. Or book economy both ways and upgrade to PE? Failing that you can use the voucher to upgrade a cash booking. I think status affects what can do with the voucher as well – maybe have a look at the articles on here about the Virgin card?
But do you not still need UC redemption availability to upgrade a cash booking, or have I completely misunderstood this possibility?
Yes, I meant if OP didn’t have enough points for an award booking.
