I have been trying to move avios from my BA account to Qatar because BA have poor reward flight availability.
However I keep getting error message saying something went wrong.
I have linked my accounts and troubleshooted everything yet BA says they can’t see an issue but it can take up to 7 days to resolve
Meanwhile I have one leg of my journey booked and stand to loose availability for the other leg because moving points is not easy and quick as advertised.
Any suggestions how to solve or escalate? phone and online is just a Groundhog Day loop
You don’t need to move your Avios to Qatar. As long as the Qatar website can ‘see’ them and they are showing as part of your balance, Qatar (if the website behaves) will just pull them from your linked BA account.
Yup, I agree with Rob – I made a Qatar booking where there were a few Avios in that account but not enough. Having linked previously with BA, Qatar was showing me the full balance across both accounts and just asked me to log into BA to pull what was needed to complete.
Not sure when you linked your accounts, mine have been that way for a while and can’t remember if I had previously made a test transfer so can’t say if they only pull when there has been a previous transaction or not.
I presume you’ve tried to pull from BA into Qatar, as well as push from BA? Sometimes it works one way but not the other.
