The carrier imposed for ex Dublin UC was 400 Euros, just seen that it has jumped to over 800
How were they routing ex-DUB? BA/EI back to LHR?
I’m wondering the same. Doesn’t sound like a route you could book on points 🤷♀️
Assuming a Delta route. Lucky it’s only 800 euro now not £1000 like the ex-mainland EU ones.
The route was Dub – LHR with EI – MCO / JFK VA
Had previously checked about 6 weeks ago re the upgrade Rang the call centre who were fine doing the LHR – MCO / JFK for 70,000 points & roughly £200 – The cash price for the economy ticket from Dub was about the same as from LHR
The pain was you had to fly back to Dublin, you couldn’t fly back into Manchester
Can you be more clear about what you did here – are you saying the surcharges have doubled since you made your booking?
Did a dummy booking DUB – LHR – MCO and JFK 28 jun 24 – 15/7
Wanted to see what the savings would be for starting from Dublin, as in planing stage for 11 months time
Looking at my notes Taxes Fees etc economy 338 euros UC 541 euros
Of the 541, 400 were carrier imposed
So you can book a connecting itinerary with points on EI + VS?
So you can book a connecting itinerary with points on EI + VS?
I’ve only ever seen points bookings on JV airlines (usually DL), so if this is as it seems, it opens up VS burning on OW… They have long let you book BA/EI on rev, of course, because they need the feeder traffic.
