First time visitors..couple of questions,
Worth a visit now..?
Best way to travel from London or Via EU…
All in or flight only…
Which Island…
Any do’s or dont’s..
Thanks
That depends on what you want to do and how long can you stay. When I researched pre-covid, I was looking at minimum 2 weeks to do the majority of things with 5 days on the beach. I believe direct flights from London only with Tui, otherwise via Lisbon with TAP.
Sal is the main beach island. There are several Melia hotels and a Hilton. On Boa Vista it’s Iberostar and Riu. On other islands it’s more of independent hotels. Inter-island travel is better by air, but can be pricey. I think they now require PCR/antigen test for travelling between islands. I have decided to postpone the trip for a while as it is a bit tricky as I want to do island hopping.

What sort of things were you planning, meta? I thought Cape Verde was mainly a beach destination.
Hiking/touring volcanic peak on Fogo, visiting music cafés in Mindelo on São Vincente, explore Praia and its colonial architecture,… Cape Verde has a lot more to offer than the beach. The only problem is that island hopping takes time due to poor connections.
Thanks a lot…primarily wife looking for a bit of warmth with odd days out over 10 days or so.
I’d then stick to Sal. There are a couple of things to do for your days out such as salt mines or Blue eye cave.
