Anyone trying to book AF reward seats through Virgin gets the message: Due to a systems issue, customers are currently unable to book AF. We expect bookings to be available in early August.
Well, it’s 3 August today – but still unavailable.
When do readers expect Virgin to fix this?It’s always been problematic and better done/only possible over the phone
Interested to know if there is an update on this too – I’ve been wanting to book AF tickets Man to CDG for a few months and same issues – flights aren’t even showing on the virgin website (but plenty of availability on AF). This is more of a rant, but phoning is an absolute nightmare – firstly I just want to see what is available for family without going through individual flight possibilities on the phone. Secondly, I have done this route previously with points 2 years ago via checking website, but then had to phone as had children under 2 and system wouldn’t allow the booking – The call centre spelt my two of my children’s name wrong after I spelt it out to them, then I spent several hours and days trying to get it corrected. Virgin then said all ok only for us to turn up at CGG and then have AF not allow boarding at name hadn’t been updated their end. Virgin blame AF and vice versa – Took 2 hours to sort at the airport and was good job we arrived early.
Thanks for mentioning it. I was just trying to look at options for Manchester to Tokyo and wondering why no Air France options were coming up anywhere.
Presumably this also affects KLM? Not seeing anything from them coming up either.
Btw I’ve started to see Air France and KLM reward flights again through the online search.
@lc, do you mean award flights? I was looking at these recently but cash fares are so cheap it wasn’t worth it.
They seem to be off again. Nothing searchable on the website and i’ve rung twice to try and get LHR>NCE and each time the staff member has said they can see the flights but are not bookable
