Discuss today's stories:
So, VS changed our outbound flight to a differnet flight (different flight number and more than 3hrs difference in departure (and landing) time), which accoridng to their terms entitles me to cancel the flight.
I submitted the cancellation form, as their website directs you to, yesterday – but the flight is still showing as live in My Booking, and receiving reminders to check in.
Will this actually cancel? Or is there any risk VS end up considering it a no-show? I hvae received an email from VS to confirm they’ve recevied the refund request but wondering if I should speak to someone. (if so – is there any way to speak to them other than over the phone now they’ve stopped using Whatsapp? Twitter?)
Thanks!
You’ve got the email so that is your evidence you cancelled in good time
There is often a lag between requesting the cancellation and it being actually cancelled and the booking will likely remain in MMB until they process the refund.
You can safely ignore the reminders to check in.
