Also if booking for peak dates, WTP pricing can be quite high (e.g. 60k avios pp to MIA/MLE), so you don’t end even up saving a lot of avios avios.
Male is 67.5k peak, as compared to 100k in CW. So this is a saving of 65k avios by using an upgrade voucher – how much more do you need to consider it a lot?! 85k saving off peak as well…
Apologies, I put the wrong avios for that band, but I just meant that peak avios pricing is rather high in PE and the savings are quite you make is relatively poor.

We’ll have to agree to disagree then that saving either 65k or 85k is “relatively poor”
I think the point is that peak PE reward flights are proportionately much more expensive compared to off-peak than Club, so you save significantly less (or pay significantly more) on peak dates – 20K or 24% in this example.
@tontoro, I didn’t say saving 85k was in any way poor, but it’s immaterial to me whether you agree or not! I try to help people by pointing out where they can get good value, that’s all.

I’d say 65k is already a ‘good’ saving, so 85k is relatively better – rather than 65k being ‘relatively poor’. Semantics, but more accurate IMHO
