Thinking of buying some Hilton points this week before the year ends.
I know you can normally transfer Hilton points freely between partners/spouses. Are there any restrictions on points that you purchase? Can a couple effectively buy 320000 points total when there is a sale on and transfer them to a single account?
From the Hilton website on point pooling:
“8. What is the minimum/maximum number of Points that can be pooled?
A Member can transfer a minimum of 1,000 Points and a maximum of 500,000 Points into a pool in a calendar year. A Member can receive up to 2 million Points in a calendar year.”
Webpage to check other details (points pooling about half way down)…

Thanks Peter. I can’t see anything that prevents you from transferring bought points as easily as earned points, but just wanted to make sure I’m not missing anything.
Nope – did it from my wife’s account earlier this year as I had already hit my purchase limit.
Sorry just to clarify, my ‘nope’ above means there are no restrictions on purchased points!
