Is it me or are Qsuites redemptions using Qmiles more expensive than say Asia Miles? I was under the impression it was cheaper but for example LHR-KUL one way is working out at 150,000 Qmiles or 70,000 Asia Miles. Am I doing something wrong?
You might be seeing the Flexi awards, greater availability but double Avios cost, and only visible for booking via QR, but if you’re seeing the same flight via CX then that’s not the issue.
More likely is that because you’d be going LHR-DOH-KUL, you’re being charged for each segment with QR, whereas CX charges by distance zone for partner awards (so you’re being charged based on total mileage).

Great thank you. That does make sense.
is there an easy way to search for availability on the Qatar Airways site?
I search for an Avios redemption flight, get a “there’s no flights” message, click an ‘amend search’ button that takes me back to the home page, where i then have to navigate back to the Avios redemption page and start again.
Seems a bit long winded….
