Booking lounge access at Heathrow T3 – turned away?

Hello. I am flying from T3 next month and I would like to use a lounge with my Gold Card’s priority pass. I know I can pre book one of them but I’ve also read about people being turned away even when booked. Is this true? We would aim to be there approximately 3 hours before our flight to make sure we have enough time to enjoy it. Thank you.

Depends on the day, reception staff can turn you away yes

I believe the only lounge you can pre-book at LHR T3 is the No1 Lounge. I would be very surprised if you were turned away if you pre-book and pay the £6pp: https://no1lounges.com/prioritypass/prebook

It’s the No 1 lounge you can book (£6), and whilst I’ve not read about pre-booked people being turned away I’d be gobsmacked if you got in without pre-booking.
