I am the only HH member in the family. Am I able to book a Hilton using my HH details for my wife and daughter who will be travelling together without me?
You can certainly make a booking for them but they are not technically entitled to your HH benefits, if that’s what you’re asking …
Put your wife’s details in the box for additional guests and it will more than likely be fine. My wife checks in all the time for us if I’m working and she has been shopping for example.
To do this “correctly”, you can:
(1) contact Hilton and make the reservation for them (in their names)
(2) have your wife set up her own Hilton account and transfer the required number of points so she can make the booking herself.
I have done both. The time I did (1) was for my parents at the Conrad Hong Kong who upgraded them to the Executive level which my parents were ecstatic about. I then received the points for their incidental spending so clearly the IT is a bit shaky. The upgrade probably came from my status.
It worked out for the hotel also as when my parents returned they paid for the Executive level as couldn’t face a stay without access.
I often book a room for my Son and wife on points, I book in my name and add him as additional guest. Never had any problems.
Thanks for the replies. Behind my thinking was to book the hotel for them so that the stay and the points go into to my account.

It’s not shaky, it’s intentional as it’s a reservation using your Hilton account but the name has just been changed (by a Hilton agent)
To the hotel it should have looked like your parent (who was the lead guest) was the owner of the diamond account.
If you wanted to be honest and not earn the night credit or points on spend, you could ask the hotel to change the Honors number to the statusless account…
