Please forgive the naivety of the question. It just works out that staying 14 nights at the Holiday Inn Algarve appears our best option to save a £500 deposit to Mercury Holidays. Is there any benefit from joining the IHG loyalty scheme under such circumstances?
Many thanks in advance!
No. If booked by a travel agent you are basically not going to get any points for the stay. You are also very unlikely to get any status benefits (not that’ll you’ll have status if you’ve just joined).
