Hi
So I booked 2 rooms on the app in a moxy hotel in the U.K. (5 days ago) for a stay at the end of March . once booked I was given 1 confirmation number for the reservation
Today I looked in the app and I now have 2 reservations for the same hotel – one of the confirmation numbers is the same , the other one is new.
Is this normal as I’ve never booked 2 rooms . Will Marriott IT flag this up and the after check out experience issues getting the nights credited along with the points.
I understand that i should get points for both rooms but only night credits for 1 , I assumed as I only had one conf number at the time this will be fine , however now as I have 2 reservations am I going to encounter issues getting the points / credits
I’ve not seen bookings split when I’ve booked two rooms at the same time at a UK Moxy (in Edinburgh for example). You should be fine though for the points and credits as the back end tech is designed to look for these things (and conversely, recogniSe separate back to back bookings as one “stay”)
I’ve had this a few times when booking multiple rooms in Marriott hotels. It seems to give a separate booking number for every room even when booked together. Although you can’t book more than 3 rooms online in a single reservation. It doesn’t cause any issues and I usually book 9 rooms and have always received the points for all of them.
