Thanks for this, @LL, I’ve just got an annual policy for £37.59 with the discount!
Per @LL post, is that an annual policy ex CDW/SLI as she refers to a £92 price that includes those elements. What does an ex CDW/SLI policy cover?
The price below £92 p.a. is also worldwide (subject to the usual list of countries underwriters typically exclude). But it does not include CDW/SLI such as is needed in the US and a few other countries to be protective.
For the sake of about £20, if I’m getting an annual worldwide policy then I always take the top version that would include everything in the US. As if a trip comes up during the year or I take a side trip that wasn’t planned, to another country I don’t want to have to wonder if I am covered each time.
@LadyLondon I think you are very wise to take the one including CDW/SLI. The cheaper one, while claiming to be worldwide, isn’t really worldwide as it is quite unsuitable for anywhere in the Americas or other countries where the third party issue is relevant. It seems like a real false economy and shouldn’t really be sold without greater clarity.
