Bill Pay – Get 1% cashback for 2% fee or Avios

Just wondered what peoples thoughts were on the Capital on Tap bill pay service.

You can pay any bill or supplier that would not usually accept card payments. You effectively get 1% cashback for a 2% fee or as most would like to do, get the Avios for a 2% fee.

The fee would obviously be as a business expense.

Does anyone this this would be worth it, or a waste of money.

Depends if you can get invoice factoring for 1% elsewhere (cashback for businesses is subject to tax) so it’s net 1% cost to the business.

Avios could better if you need the liquidity as points are outside tax regime for businesses and personal spend.

If you don’t need to factor then it’s not cheap c1.2p per Avios you can do better boosting or even the same in sales.
