They also asked for “non-airline” and you suggested Virgin credit card..
So the same reason, there aren’t many rewarding credit cards, but yeah there are rewarding debit cards – which is very different to what it used to be.…not very rewarding if you don’t get any cashback for paying your council tax. If you care to read the comments properly then you’ll discover that the Virgin Atlantic cards are a lot more than just airline cards and will also give me points for paying my council tax bill!
Virgin council tax (via Curve – my council dont take CC ) + water rates takes care of £3k per year – with the carefully timed signup bonus which only requires 6 months fallow thats pretty good value for me even without the 241 voucher. Wish there was more to spend on but I’m happy with the choices on Virgin RED
Then BAPP or Barclaycard – again carefully timed to maximise sign up bonuses.
I do aim to redeem for flights but would probably do the same even with airline links
