Forums Other Destination advice Best for MKC station

Hi all. Need to stay near MKC station for a night – late arrival early stsrt. What are the best options? Ideally I’d like to park up the night before and walk to the station next morning (will return for the car later!) Any recommendations for this? The Moxy, premier inn and holiday inn are all very close, but seem to be potential issues with parking. It is better to go Doubletree, Delta and drive to park at the station in the morning? Marriott/Hilton gold. Thanks for any tips!

I’ve stayed at the Jury’s Inn near MKC and it was good. I can’t remember what the parking arrangements were but I certainly parked there. For parking at MKC though I always use the station cary park. Around the back of the station are some nice spaces that you only have a car in front and behind you so less likely to get bashed. If you arrive early they are easy to get so expect the same applies when arriving late.

Just watch out at the station, I got fined recently for apparently paying one company and parking in someone else’s car park 😂 – it was early so it might be obvious!

Doubletree at MK Stadium is a great hotel and only about a 5 min drive back to the station.

Plenty of parking in central MK near the station, I’m away this week but no issues getting a space last week at all. Parking areas on the north side of Grafton Gate are usually a good bet if the areas nearer the station are full, takes a few minutes to walk across.

If you want to be a bit closer then the Holiday Inn is decent and has its own parking right outside, so I don’t think you’d have any issues there. But I’d go for the Doubletree personally!

Depending on times you can park on Redland Drive or Teardrop Lakes carpark for free.
