Hey folks,
I’m looking to book some seats for a LHR-HND flight.
Most seats are available and im looking to book the “best”.
2 of us are travelling, we’d like to use the upfront cabin. Looking online it seems row 6 or 7 is best.
Available options are:
6A/B
7A/B
6J/K.
is there a “good” side of the plane to sit on for views? the best seat for least noise disruption?
I read row 6 is good for privacy but row 7 has direct aisle access for both (but closer to the toilets)
Any help would be much appreciated!
If you sit on the left side of the plane you should get great Mt Fuji views about 30 minutes before landing. I think both rows would be much the same. It’s less likely you’ll get a queue for the toilets are your end of the plane. The front cabin should be quieter in general.

Out of interest – does this apply equally to all Tokyo inbound flight paths, whether into HND or NRT? Thanks 🙂
Sorry for hijacking this thread but I have a similar question. Two of us flying to SIN next month on a 789 and we only have bronze so won’t be getting the ‘best’ seats. First time flying this configuration.
As a couple, is it preferable to share a divider or go staggered so we are at least only having to clamber over each other in the night?
e.g would you take 11A/B or 11A/12B?
I have just come back from HND on the 789 – I was in 13E the last row in the rear CW cabin. Nobody to step over to get in and out of the seat, OH had 13F. I actually found that the rear facing seat has more elbow room on both sides and more comfortable to sleep that in the aisle seats, also you are very cocooned and no one is going to bump you when walking through the cabin.
As for views, I didn’t see Mount Fuji on the way in, and I didn’t see it on the way out either!

Apparently not. Since NRT is on the north/east side of Tokyo, in order to not fly over the city the flights tend to approach from the north. It looks like the flight paths are quite far from Mt Fuji, but if you were able to see it it’d be on the right side of the plane, not the left.
