Providing I clear security in a reasonable amount of time I’m aiming to have breakfast at terminal 5 this weekend, just wondered if anyone can recommend a good breakfast? (Or ones to avoid…)

I’m told by someone who breakfasts regularly at T5 that Kanishka Kitchen’s breakfast is excellent; probably quite expensive though.

Sounds good, except it’s located before security, so kind of missing the OP’s point…

    Concorde Room breakfast is decent.

It’ll be rammed with families as it’s the first weekend of the school hols, so pick somewhere expensive.

I have no idea if it’s any good but you can book Gordon Ramsey plane food. I have not seen anywhere else you can book unless you prebook a lounge I guess. No idea if it means guaranteed entry or anything I have done it for Monday when we fly out.

Wetherspoon’s is cheap and served quickly!

Kanishka is probably the best but obviously the wrong side. Full breakfast is about £13.00 so it’s pretty much inline with the others but is very good quality.

Wagamama is alright and the Japanese omelette is what I normally go for. The full breakfast isn’t too bad but nothing special.

Giraffe and Pilots are both a bit meh although Pilots is better. It’s just chain food breakfast though. Both are better than the JDW fayre in the Crown Rivers.

Caviar House is pretty much just salmon & eggs along with a £30 bagel which is nice but only nice for a one off treat. Fortnums have a slightly better menu and their Welsh rarebit is excellent.

Is Vagabond open? It wasn’t when we were last through LHR in May but it may be worth a try. The food we had one evening in their Fulham bar was nice, no idea what breakfast would be like though. They have a very good (100+) selection of wines as well.

Not being much help but if I had to choose I’d go Wagamama, Ramsay, Pilots.

There’s lots in T5 but it’s not very inspiring tbh.

I had the omelette in Waga in T3. Was pretty good. Everyone gettiNg the full English was disappointed.
