Forums Other Destination advice Bengaluru airport transfer

Does anyone have a recommendation for a private transfer from the airport to our hotel in the city.
We’ve booked a Southern India tour package but are making our own way to India on BA.
Viator brings up just about anyone who fancies a go at collecting tourists from the airport…
    Thanks in advance.

Have you asked the hotel directly?

Typically hotels charge double the taxi rates but their cars are clean, drivers are polite, wait for you, aircon is on before you enter the car and some cars are even tracked by the hotel for safety.

Exactly this! I actually done this yesterday for a tour of Colombia shortly, and was given a couple of contact details for private transfers, at different hotels, they were actually cheaper than several uber dry run I carried out at different times of the day, so I’d agree 100% with trying a hotel first, even if it’s for a recommendation.

    Thanks both.
I’ll contact our hotel to book a transfer.

You can just get an UBER. They have a dedicated pick up zone.
DO NOT use the fixed rate booths in the airport. They quoted us 2000 Rupees for a journey UBER charged only 535 Rupees for

    Thanks again for you replies.
We’re still awaiting a response from the hotel.
It appears that as we’re travelling as part of a tour group, the hotel doesn’t have our individual names yet and seem reluctant to provide a transfer…
We’ve contacted our tour company who are hopefully going to help.

I have got to mention, BLR must be one of the best airports in the world.
Outside there is “The Quad” bars, restaurants live music.
Inside it is stunning and very smooth check in and security.
Duty Free is dirt cheap, we had our own assistant to escort us round too.
Now in 080 lounge, visually stunning, service top notch and is up there quality wise with Qatar lounges at Doha

Yep, it’s a fantastic airport, an oasis compared to the traffic chaos to the city.

It’s also great for those looking to use vouchers on BA or VS as there’s plenty of availability, with AI mopping up the lower fare paying pax.

Travelling in April. I will be sure to compare the prices.
