Forums Payment cards Barclaycard Avios Barclays Upgrade Voucher booking for children

Looking to book next years summer holiday for a family of 4 with 2 children (13 and 11).

I have an amex 2-4-1 and 2 Barclays upgrade voucher (1 mastercard, 1 premier banking). All in my name. All family members are in my BA household account.

I’ll take one of the kids with me in club on the amex 2-4-1.

I want to use the 2 Barclays vouchers in club for my wife and other child but it won’t let me add 2 vouchers to the booking – I get to the select voucher page and it only lets me tick one of the voucher boxes. It then tells me “You don’t have enough BA Barclays Cabin Upgrade Vouchers for the number of passengers selected for a return journey.”

I can’t do separate bookings for my wife and then other child as it doesn’t allow “unaccompanied child bookings”.

I can’t do 2 one-way booking as the vouchers have to be used on flights from the UK.

    Any solution to this?

    Thanks in advance

There are lots of limitations with this voucher. You might have to do what I did with ours – use a BC upgrade voucher for 2 pax outbound then just book the inbound as a separate redemption (if the surcharges don’t preclude this as an option). Though even then I had to book our outbound MAN connection separately as the voucher doesn’t allow this either! Fortunately the trip is HBO to LAS so should be ok.

However, if you call BA and get the right agent they might be able to do some sort of manual booking using both vouchers, it’s worth a try anyway.

Thanks. Sounds like I need to call an agent and cross my fingers …
