Hello
I have a Barclays Premier bank account and a Barclaycard Avios Plus card.
If I pay for my holiday with the Avios plus card instead of my Premier card, will this mean that I’m not covered
The T+C;
In order to qualify for the benefits included in this policy you must hold
a valid Barclays Premier card and have paid for all travel arrangements
(travel, transport and accommodation) using this card.
Seems quite clear cut but not sure how it works in practice.
At the risk of sounding stupid, I was not even aware that the Premier Account offers free travel insurance? They offer the travel and tech insurance packs for a fee.
I found the T&Cs that you are referring to online, but it’s strange that Barclays doesn’t advertise that as a benefit of the account.
Might be worth giving them a call?

I agree – I don’t think the account comes with travel insurance as standard? I’m paying something like £12per month for worldwide cover via their travel pack. Don’t think it matters which card you use to book travel once you have that, however.
