Forums Payment cards Barclaycard Avios Barclays Premier Banking salary eligibility

T&C’s say gross income of 75k. We’re both retired and have flexible monthly income from individual personal pensions. This means we can pay ourselves what we choose monthly also using a combination of taxable/non taxable funds. So for instance my wife’s monthly net income paid into her bank is £5400 – this makes it appear that she’s getting paid over 75k pa – in actual fact she’s getting 65k pa due to a tax free portion (in addition to the 12,570 personal allowance).

Anyone know if this would fulfil eligibility criteria by having £5400 net paid in monthly? (She therefore wouldn’t be able to provide proof of 75k pa salary if they asked for that).

In my case the situation is similar. I pay myself £3500 per month after tax + £1000 per month tax free. These arrive as one payment of £4500 net. This again makes it appear that I’m getting a gross salary of over 75k – which I’m not.

We both already have the Barclaycard Avios plus Mastercards.

    Thanks

Yes, I don’t earn £75k but I met the net income criteria, so the Premier adviser upgraded my account no problem.

I earn 30k per year. In the terms it says if you don’t get 75k per year or have 100k in savings then it’s £20 per month.
Cool – sign me up! I’ll cancel once I’ve held
For four months and obtained the 100k avios 😄
