Hi, opened the premier account on the app 2 weeks ago .account is open with money in it. To date no debit card come through, on the app no card is showing . Tried using the chat to find out where the card is however got scripted messages so couldn’t get the correct answer. Called today after 90 mins on phone , they say no card has been registered to account and you need to call premier banking to actually apply for card , this normally has to be done in branch however you can call premier banking to see if they will make an exception and do via phone . I initially called premier banking in the first place … confused .con
Also I did a switch on sat last week , date for switch was given as Monday however had no emails text so unsure if it’s actually going through !!!!
Have a similar problem with Avios Barclaycard.
Statement email received, but no card received yet. So cannot log into app etc.
Frustrating.
Yep ! same with me, trying to speak to an agent and IVR keeps throwing me out. Fraud department gave me a number 0800 161 5326. On hold now.. lets see. Really incompetent and already feel sorry for applying
I had endless problems trying to open a Barclays premier account last month. I applied in the app and it asked me to go into branch with proof of ID but no appointments were available until further notice. I decided to just go into my nearest branch and was helped. They said I had somehow opened 2 accounts. They took copies of my id and then said he couldn’t generate a code to access online banking or app until I had my debit card. A week later the card finally arrived but when I tried to activate it it again asked me to prove my ID in branch. So back to the branch, they needed copies of ID again and then still didn’t get the app working. They said they would sort it and call me. To their credit they did and i was finally able to access the app and online banking. Their IT is an absolute disaster. I will pay my salary into it, get the annual upgrade voucher, pay the Barclaycard avios plus from it and transfer the rest to my HSBC account and use that as my main account as I have no confidence in Barclays. Also can’t see how this account is in any way Premier?
