Ah. I think I’ve spotted my error:
The promotional voucher may only be used for products sold and fulfilled by Amazon at the Moments Store on Amazon.co.uk
That only applies when spending the voucher, not when you purchase an item to obtain the voucher.
I’m somewhat confused. I went through the moments link, added numerous things I wanted to buy (supplied and delivered by Amazon eu sarl) and yet randomly only one of them had the Barclaycard discount applied at £4.99.
No idea why that item was discounted and nothing else was 🤷🏻♂️ At least I’ve got until October for the other £5.01 to possibly be discounted off something else.
I bought something (direct from Amazon) for £19.99, having followed the link and used my Barclaycard but so far haven’t received anything. What have I done wrong?
The £10 voucher doesn’t seem to work on orders where it should. I did contact Amazon but the adviser couldn’t offer up any acceptable explanation why the promotional credit wouldn’t apply except for a possible technical error.

I had same issue – told the chat, and they sent me a £10 gift voucher. Win Win

Same here – result! 🙂

Same result here too now! Thanks for highlighting.
I’ve got the £10 voucher but it seems I can only get onto a US based version of the moments store that has pricing in USD and perhaps involving customs & excise charges if I buy something that’s shipped to the UK and I’m not happy taking a risk
So in summary – bit of a damp squib of a promotion

Refer to the comments above yours and request that a £10 credit is added to your account via Amazon chat.
Weirdly I just had an email saying that I’d triggered the offer. This is despite not having used the link and buying something not sold by Amazon using my Amazon gift card balance (built up to hit an Amex target). My Barclaycard is still my preferred card from when they were giving away £20 not to use a Barclaycard but totally weird.

I’ve just been on chat, and they’ve given me a £10 credit to my account. Worked fine for 10 mins work, and a purchase I was going to make anyways.

I had a similar experience recently and followed up with Amazon today. After much faffing via online chat and eventually a call being made to me, their conclusion was most likely that the promotion is intended for use with Visa cards only and has just been poorly worded (the advisor asked for my BIN and stated a reference list they have shows only Visa numbers as being eligible)

No, that’s not the case.
My offer had also not posted, so following the advice of someone earlier in this thread, I contacted Amazon chat and they were manually able to apply a £10 credit for use on products sold by Amazon, which would automatically be applied to eligible products. This was only a few days ago.
On a side note, I was under the impression that Amazon had stopped accepting Visa credit cards?
I would go back to them and say other people have had £10 credits manually applied.

They threatened but then agreed to accept them again, no doubt after Visa agreed to charge lower fees.

There was a similar £10? Voucher for adding a non Visa card earlier this year or late last year too IIRC

They tried this first for me, but when I went to checkout it wasn’t applying, so that’s why they added the £10 credit manually.
Went for this offer via a banner which appeared on the Amazon website itself, paying with my Avios Barclaycard.
No confirmation email or promotional credit appeared so I raised the issue by chat this evening. After ages going round the houses, which included their insisting that I dig through my browser history to find the banner link on their site that I followed, they eventually “consulted with management” and have sent the issue to Barclays to deal with. Bizarrely, the confirmation email that they sent me saying that they’ve done that has a more information link to the Barclays Instalments page. They clearly understood what it was about so this is almost certainly a case of their deliberately misdirecting it.
Part of me is intrigued to see what happens next, but I suspect not much and I’m now sufficiently pissed off with them to raise a formal complaint on principle. Given it’s a promotion advertised by Amazon, under their control and they would be applying the credit it’s very unclear what they would expect Barclays to do about it.
I’ve seen various comments about CS applying a goodwill credit, though not recently. Has anyone else had an experience similar to mine?

I would just go back on the chat and try again from the beginning. Don’t mention the original chat and hope you get someone more helpful. Some of them are great, others are thick as sh.. just cross your fingers you get the former next time
